Hey, Lady. Did you just hibernate all winter? Disappear in your cave of angst and sin?

Just about, I hate winter. I live in a place of brutal cold, so I recently got an electric fireplace in my office and I love it. Straight up love it, best purchase that I felt uber dubious about committing to. Where I live, we have First Winter, then False Spring, then Second Winter, and it goes on and on until we actually get Real Spring 😆 

As for what I've been up to while not freezing my bum off (I bought a heated vest and heated socks, how have I not known about those my whole life?) I've been working on a lot of things, because I have the vilest of writing ADHD. I will write 5000 words for one idea, then I'll suddenly bounce to writing another 5000 words for something else. I'll completely outline a story and then get motivated for a wildly different genre. It's...trying. Very trying. But hey, at least I always have material waiting for me to work on! 

I've really dug my heels into a grotesque 'Final Girl' type story, because who doesn't like the horror of the Final Girl and the Masked Psycho that she thought she beat? I'm roughly 12,000+ words into that one and I'm thinking that might debut a few chapters on ao3 while in progress. We shall see. This is a story that really hits on the dark side of things, because there are aspects of it that sit firmly in Horror with perhaps, Erotic Horror edges. The Masked Bastard is not redeemable, like, at all. 

TLDR: The Final Girl beat the madman that held her and other women captive. She won. She killed him. At least, she's pretty sure she did...

On another note, I've been going back to my beloved Minnie & Gage for their spicy ex-convict, bad boy romance. I know there was a lot of feedback that people wanted to see beyond their 'Happy For Now' ending in the standalone short erotic story, Raw & Vulnerable.  I totally get it, because there is such an underlying shocker to be had with those two.

The underlying question being, does Minnie ever find out? And if she does...will she be able to stay with him? 💀

Therefore, I'm likely to finish another story for them, because of all my bad boys, Gage really does make me go 'awww' when he says the shit he does. I've got the sequel outlined and partially written, so, we will see if it develops into something worth releasing.  

Also, finally updated the cover for Raw & Vulnerable. Huzzah.

The Contention series

Surprise surprise, I actually ended up writing another chapter for Dissension that got put in the latest update back at the end of January (or early February? I can't recall). Some people felt the end came rather soon and after I slept on it for a few weeks (because I try to mentally escape my work for a bit once I'm done to refresh my mind and clear my thoughts) I realized I agreed, and I did want to squeeze another scene in before the end. So, I did! There are now 32 chapters + the Epilogue. If you have the book, all you have to do is un-download from your device and re-download to get the updated version (but don't delete it if you own it! Then, you would have to re-buy and I don't want that for you).

I've been playing with the idea of eventually writing a super short follow-up to peek into Kara's future, but I still need time away from the Contention series.
