Still Vulnerable? Girl, what is that?

🎃🎃🎃 I'm glad you asked 🎃🎃🎃 

But first off...Happy Halloween!! Hopefully, you are all doing something you love, such as curling up to watch a favorite spooky movie or going out for a dressed-up dinner date. I know I'll be out having a fine dinner with the husband at our favorite place. The 31st is my excuse to pull out some dramatic makeup, lace-up midnight stiletto oxfords (gotta be witchy), and some fun black sheer tights. 

I come with some news. The lesser-known work of mine, Raw & Vulnerable, is finally about to get a second part this year. R&V was originally published as an erotic short - aka, it was a smaller smutty story that was extremely heavy on the smut. The story is 50/50 smut; hella steamy. 

Raw & Vulnerable is a standalone 'opposites attract' story. Or, at least it was (and has had various updates since initial publication). I never meant to write a second part. However, feedback was centered around readers hoping they could see what happened beyond the 'Happy For Now' ending, given the semi-dark twist at the end of the short!

What does the future hold for Minnie and Gage, considering the nature of their very different backgrounds? The resident librarian with a tragic past and a rough ex-con?

What would happen if Minnie ever came to find out why Gage went to prison?

The new short will explore beyond the HFN, but will mostly focus on the emotional impact of Minnie uncovering some very hard truths. I would say while the first book is Quick Read Erotica, the second book probably lines up more with Angsty Contemporary Romance. The subject matter of the twist is pretty heavy and borderlines on Dark Romance due to the nature of the truth. 

It's probably why this has been a tough book to narrow into a specific romance category. There's steam and fluff, sure. But there is a dark secret and a traumatic past that doesn't exactly stay in the past 😭 for traditional romance readers, it can come off as intimidating.
